Torpoint Ferry - Three ferry service to resume on Saturday, 29th August
We are very pleased to confirm that we will be resuming a three-ferry service from 9.30 am on Saturday, 29 August in time for the bank holiday weekend, and the start of a week in which children will be returning to school and more people are expected to return to their workplaces.
During the past two weeks we have used LYNHER as one of the two ferries in operation whilst outstanding maintenance works have been carried out on the PLYM and TAMAR, and mandatory regulation and inspection programmes have been completed. Maintaining a two-ferry service during this period has also enabled some staff to take leave for the first time since the start of the lockdown.
From 29 August we will be operating three ferries in accordance with our usual summer timetable, with services running every 10 minutes during peak times.
Further information about the ferry timetable is available on the Tamar Crossings website: https://www.tamarcrossings.org.uk/. We also provide updates via our Facebook and Twitter social media channels.
We are very grateful to our customers for their patience as we have worked hard to manage the impact of the Covid 19 pandemic and deal with the unforeseen issue with the Lynher’s chain tensioning gantries, and would like to thank them for their support.
