It was great to see the images of the ferry crossing the Tamar in the opening credits of the BBC’s new Rick Stein’s Cornwall programme last night. The film crew visited Torpoint last Autumn to film Rick Stein driving on and off the ferries and have used this footage at the beginning of the programme.
Rick also spoke to staff and was so interested by what they told him about working on the ferries he decided to interview a member of the team. His interview with ferry supervisor Mike Bright will be broadcast at 6.30 on Thursday, 14 January.
