We take the health and safety of all our service users, staff and the wider public very seriously. We have a number of contingency plans in place to manage the situation and ensure that we can continue to provide safe, reliable and efficient crossings of the River Tamar for all users.
We are monitoring the situation very closely and are following all the guidance from the Government and Public Health England.
To ensure that we can continue to deliver key services we have taken the difficult decision to close our office reception facilities to the public from Monday 23 March.
Whilst we recognise that some of our users prefer to contact us face-to-face, we are confident we can manage almost all issues over the phone or by email. Tag accounts can also be topped up remotely via our website www.tamarcrossings.org.uk.
We will continue to operate the same working hours (9am to 5pm).
Any remaining issues, such as the return of tags, can be managed with minimal delay by using post boxes within the lobby at the Bridge office and the mailbox at the Ferry office.
While we recognise that this decision may cause minor disruption to some customers, temporarily restricting face to face contact will help reduce the risk that core bridge and ferry services will be compromised during the current emergency.
We apologise to any customers who are affected by this and thank everyone for their patience and understanding during this challenging period.
