Torpoint ferry LYNHER has been successfully moved into drydock in Falmouth, enabling work to begin on the refit.
The refit process is expected to take up to eight weeks to complete. With strong winds preventing the ferry from being moved into drydock last week as expected, this may result in a change to the planned refit schedule and the vessel’s return to service.
We will be working closely with A&P Falmouth to manage the refit programme and ensure that the ferry returns to service as quickly as possible.
During the refit period the service is being provided by the two remaining ferries, one leaving each side of the river every 15 minutes (on the hour and 15, 30 and 45 minutes past the hour), between 06:30 and 22:00 and a single half hourly, night service ferry from 2200 to 06:30.
