Following our earlier update the repairs to one of the prow cables on Plym II are progressing well. The specialist contractor is on site and work is taking place to reattach the replacement cable. While the repairs are on schedule to be completed today, unfortunately the curing time for the epoxy resin bonding process mean that the ferry will not be back in service in time for this evening's rush hour as we had previously hoped. The engineers are working as hard as they can to get the ferry back into service but we need to ensure that the repairs are carried out properly to ensure there are no further issues with the cables. This means that the two ferry service will not be in operation until tomorrow morning. We apologise for this inconvenience and would ask all customers to make sure they plan their journeys accordingly.
