During the past week the contractor, VolkerLaser, has been working hard to finalise the on-site preparations to enable work to begin on the bridge resurfacing scheme.

Whilst most of the preparations have now been completed, the company are waiting for confirmation on the availability of the specialist team required to carry out the surfacing phase of the scheme. This information is expected by the end of next week when VolkerLaser will confirm the date for the start of the works.

In the meantime both the South and North cantilevers and the three lanes on the main deck remain open as normal. We will provide further information as soon as it is available.
